Very, very enthused!
Just finished 3 hours priming with Ms. Goodmanson and Sam Stephens as Tim Goodmanson was on site and outta sight!! I'm so impressed with his focus, casual manner of dealing with what he gets, and his work process. We are extraordinarily blessed to have him here for an entire week working in considerably rougher circumstances than fitting an Emmy award winning scenic designer!! He has donated his entire salary toward the set budget so it can be a better quality production. Feel free to bring him a sandwich, thank him, and sing him a rousing chorus of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow." So here's the scoop, read it all, and make sure others are in touch and checking the blog. Keep checking and and help the show by encouraging others to check in.
1. Thursday full rehearsal, 12 Noon - 5 pm. Be early, be ready - Deb is taking off work, I'm fully primed and ready to move fast.
2. Thursday 10am - 12 Noon. Publicity Distribution. 7 people needed. If 7 don't show we'll be run ragged trying to get the stuff out during our 12+ hour days the following week. We will label 250 posters (and coordinate distribution), put 350 labels on the postcards.
3. Sam Stephens is on stage and totally coordinating Sun-Wed of spring break. Tim has quickly learned to ask her questions rather than me. Help is needed, but only when asked. Call Samantha and give her your number so she can call if/when help is needed - it's an experience most high school students -- or directors -- never have. Also, Wednesday is a work day with lots of bodies needed.
Okay, a few needs.
1. old set dressing -- rakes, hoes, lanterns, 3 legged stool, rope, horse tack
2. SEVEN hampers, picnic baskets, plain old wicker baskets are fine too, ideally with a calico cloth to cover.
3. 3-5 old tin dented beat up pots with wooden spoons to bang around during the shivaree.
4. Photos of what's happening - of the set, of rehearsal, share some pics - please send them to me for posting on theatrejm.com and here.
5. Anyone have old type barrels? 1.5 feet or 3 feet high would be great.
6. off script, off music, ready to mount a massive show!
7. chillax. I had a great nap today, the first day of break. Sara, my wife, got a room in the Dells for Sunday night so I'll be screaming down a waterslide soon. Much needed:) I hope you're finding your way to rejuvenate during break, juvenilles!!

Hey Decker,
Have you found someone to do the preview audience cordination? I have my list from the places I called last year if you'd like me to give it to them or if you'd like me to just do it.
For the batteries, how many would you like? I can get you a bunch for sure, if you can figure a number, let me know.
Thanks!
See you Thursday, for sure, if not sooner!
Hope you're having a great break!

One more thing, if I can get a ride, I will be there at 10, so count me in!
Decker,
Enjoy your time off. you deserve it. I think I speak for the rest of the cast when I say thank you for all you do.
