Lights 7-16
Lights – a fine run, but still some clean-up that can happen.
Center was up late on start of show
Dimmer dims (without first flashing bright then pulling it back. Go immediately to the level)
Hit red strip right when other lights are coming up – get Alex to help as needed.
Not sure what happened after “lost” we had gun dogs, wrong side of the stage lit, dark too long. Here’s what should happen: Spot on Ugly, fade to black after the set is cleared. After Ugly says “Lost” snap off spot, count three and bring lights up Stage right only.
Lights – to start act two, Ugly has been getting confused, so here it is just to confirm: act two start goes from dim all the way to black at end of music, Ugly enters, lights up on cottage.
Only do the red snap change for “together” if you can time it out musically perfectly – otherwise just keep it white throughout.
Take longer to fade to blue only in blizzard (start the fade sooner, end at same time)
At end of show, kill stage lights AS you’re raising the house
On Tuesday night notes I had said: After the blizzard, as Ida enters the stage in the spring, bring the whole stage up kinda dim (33%), and stage LEFT up to 66% or so when she gets to Ugly. When Ugly transforms, bring stage left up 100%, when he Honks adds Center stage 100%.
The stage left looked good, and you did the transitions well, but I couldn’t tell the whole stage was kinda dim – they looked completely black. Check your notes that this will work tonight.
SOUND
I was really concerned about not hearing most of the first act, and actually gave a separate note to the pit on every single song to play quieter. Now I think the mikes were just too low act one. With the bodies absorbing more sound, drive that sound up as high as possible. Then, mark it and don’t turn it down for Warts (unless it’s ringing, of course.). Other notes. . .
SOUND louder guns
Sound – MUCH less blizzard noise. I want the audience to wonder if there actually is a noise happening. Keep it almost subliminal
