Howling dog add-ins
Okay. This will work, but I need suggestions on the punchline/ending ‘cuz it ain’t there yet.
Kid goes to Val, tries convincing him to let her dog audition, he reluctantly agrees. She quickly gets the dog, brings it back out, tells it to roll over. It does nothing. He says, “Thanks for coming, I appreciate you stopping by.
Kid brings dog out, says, “okay, we’ve got it figured out now. He can dance around in circles – okay, now watch this. . .dance, Mocha! Dance! Please Mocha! C’mon, you can do this.” Val: “
Okay, this time we’ve got it figured out, says the kid. He just needed the proper incentive, see. Now he’ll play dead if I promise him this treat. Nothing. Okay, I know. I’ll say it.
But he can howl. See? Howl Mocha. Howl. Howl Mocha. C’mon Mocha. He’ll howl, really. Maybe if I howl he will. (nothing). Can you help me? Well, just howl along (everyone howls). Val: That was really, really good (to audience member). Have you been practicing that? Kid leaves finally, commiserating with others, “I heard him howl – did you? I heard Mocha, didn’t I buddy. . .
