All play -- help needed
Several times thoughout the show, the stage is filled with the street scenes. Every chorus member, at some point, is part of this. Let's brainstorm business for these bits, and I need your help.
Some ideas include:
rag picker/seller: person with wicker basket selling rags (1-2 more people sorting through rags, identifying the better ones, and haggling/purchasing).
pieceworker: indicated by script, but some who is sewing collars together in a nook or corner of the street.
jacks: "younger" actors playing jacks on the ground
We also have three vendor carts. . . .
Your ideas?

ideas for characters?....
paper boy, gamblers (the guys w/ three cups and they put a ball underneath one and switch the cups around), some guy w/ an accordian w/ a monkey (or not), and i don't know what else... prostitutes? (or not)
You could have a street cleaner. :) People playing cards, someone pestering people to buy a watch...
People could dance/put on a show...have people throw something at them if they're bad...
Someone could have a mock arguement and slap her husband...who apologizes and buys her flowers...
Someone could steal throughout the whole thing...
Someone could walk into the asile and barter with the audience, or be in front of the stage doing something...
Someone could clean windows, or poslish jewlerly, shine shoes...
Um, I believe I'm out for now.
