Wow!

Counting the elementary preview, we had nearly 3000 people see the show! I'm really glad the audiences were so amazing, because you deserved as much for your hard work and commitment. Sunday I simply watched the show and had a blast - there were so many fun moments that you learned how to play that surprised and amused me. I was also extraordinarily moved, to the point of tears, at the joy of seeing things go right. You all did exceptionally well, and should be very, very proud of what we've done.

We do however have a bit of housekeeping that needs to be taken care of:
There was some concern today about the scene shop autograph painting which needs to be dealt with. There are 6 areas that need attention.
1. New fire door and frame to venting system needs to be scrubbed of autograph paint. If it can’t be cleaned adequately, it needs to be repainted.
2. Hall door leading to band hallway needs to be scrubbed of autograph paint. If it can’t be cleaned adequately, it needs to be painted.
3. Near the electrical box, close to backstage, needs to be repainted to cover autograph paint
4. Door frames to dressing rooms need to be scrubbed and/or repainted
5. the light fixture which was painted needs to be scrubbed and/or repainted
6. cabinets need to be scrubbed/repainted, including underneath the cabinets.

I'll bring supplies for working on this WEDNESDAY, April 25th, after-school. UPDATE: I just realized I promised to listen to graduation speeches on Wednesday, so I'll drop off supplies and join as soon as I can. Many hands make light work. Theatre Awards are postponed until it's done. In the future, there can be one single autograph "wall" that will contain the grafitti and allow your memory to live in perpetuity with Theatre JM.

That's nice of you, Paul, since you wrote basically 50 times.

I'll be there after graduation speeches to scrub off my miscalculated autograph on the door frame, I'm sorry this got you in trouble. :(
