Well, I'm back in Lanesboro for seven consecutive days before school starts - the longest stretch yet in a crazy busy summer. I'll finish canning tomatos from our fecund garden, mop up the leaks, and reply to your emails soon!

Lanesboro Community Theater's Melodrama is this Saturday at 1 and 5 in the park. First time I'm not directing, but I'll still buy ice cream for anyone who comes down. Ideal day: 1-3 biking the trail from Lanesboro to Whalen. 3-4:30 walking around downtown. 5-6 melodrama outdoors in the park. 6-7:30 supper. 8:00 play at Commonweal.
