Fall 08

Congrats to all letter winners and everyone involved in TheatreJM this year. Three great shows that really highlighted our flexibility and wide range of talent. Our seniors will be missed.

Students interested in attending the Guthrie Summer program August 7-10 should get in touch with me ASAP.

For my thesis, I need a lot of stability in the program, as I need to walk in on June 22 with my show chosen, the set design drafted, and to be far along in the script and audience analysis. Many of my other graduate students have chosen their thesis production 1-3 years ago; I'm the last one as I've been struggling to make it work with the musical. So far, I haven't found a set designer, vocal director, or costumer for Spring 08. This is leading me to look seriously at directing the fall production with a drama. Although my wish is for you to be able to have a musical that showcases your considerable gifts, that choice would no longer be mine to make.
