1. Guthrie Conference for JM Students, musical theater theme this summer. Aug 2 - 5. $75, worth over $1k. We need 3-4 names. Talk to Decker or Cassman ASAP. You'll note most of the leads have attended this at some point.

The Guthrie conference is a BLAST! I encourage all of you to try to go, I had an amazing time.
One perk about attending the conference is you get to see the final dress rehersal of the Guthrie's newest production (isn't it 1776 this year?) You also get to do a lot of fun workshops with people from all over the state. I definitely encourage all of you underclassmen to try it.

Everyone sign up, it's such a great learning experience. You will have the time of your life, and maybe even go to a concert with Decker and Nieland.

OH, and by the way: if you want to become insanely flexible and aware of every LAST SOLITARY MUSCLE that can move in your body, the Masque is the place to go. Like Decker said, excellent movement work--take it from the girl who did Mime and Movement 1 through 4---two different times.

Probably dumb question, hopefully someone will answer...for the Guthrie, is there transportation or some sort? I mean, do you have to go from Rochester up there every day or how does that work?
you stay at a hotel up in the cities (the hotel is also where the conference is)
and when i went, the teachers gave rides there and back from the JM parking lot... they're pretty cool those teachers
I might be interested, I'll talk to my mom tomorrow. She's out of town tonight. It sounds like a great oppritunity if there still is space available.

Ugh, I can't make it to the Guthrie conference. I'll still be in New Orleans for youth group. Hopefully next year :(
