Alums, stop by and say hi if you're back in town. If you come to the Sunday show and hang out helping to strike, I'll buy you pizza! Here's what I'm mailing to everyone in my address book, please do the same.

This year Theatre JM is producing Disney’s High School Musical, the smash hit about East High School ’s struggle to overcome the Status Quo. Hilarity ensues as Jocks, Thespians, Brainiacs and Skaters clash in their efforts to Bop to the Top. The musical features the tunes audiences loved plus new songs including a grand finale Mega-Mix. Theatre JM’s 2007 production is full of hip moves, smooth tunes, and more flair than you can shake your pompoms at. Powered by an amazing cast and an all-star production crew, High School Musical is sure to be a hit with all ages, as we realize We’re All In This Together!

Performances are April 19-21 @ 7PM, and April 22 @ 2PM. Tickets are available in JM’s main office, at the box office before each show, and through TheatreJM.com. For more information, call 285.8696. Also, on April 18 at 12 Noon is a free preview for senior citizens: help us spread the word!

Spring Break

Resting up everybody?

Thursday's plan:
11am - boys block the b-ball game - bring basketballs!!!
12 noon - getcha head in the game
1:00 - everyone sings mega mix until Mr. Munderloh is satisfied (bring librettos!)
THEN hand-off to choreography #40 We're all in this together -- once again, note how measure 52 transitions to ACT TWO, SCENE 10, now with everyone on stage

We'll also pound out #47, #50 (we've kinda done it already), and #51.
MUSIC NOTE ON #51, nothing new: During Start of Something New I do bows. We sing and dance Getcha, we cut What I've Been Looking For, sing and dance Status Quo, cut Bop to the Top, cut Counting on You, sing and dance We're All in this Together and sing and dance Breaking Free until measure 188, then stand and deliver.

THEN Deb will guide us through Counting on You
THEN work any parts yet remaining
THEN run/work all dance
DONE at 5pm. Go see a movie together? Get pizza? Something as a cast so you remember it isn't all work and no play?

Yet to do: Bop to the Top (Ryan and Sharpay) and Audition piece (Ryan and Sharpay) and page 72 dance practice (Ryan and Sharpay).

BIO SAMPLES:
Sara Suginaka
(Rachel) - As her last production ever in Rochester, MN, Sara is glad she chose such a powerful show with this fun and dedicated cast to wind up six years of commitment to theatre. Her most recent shows include You Can't Take it With You at JM and A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Masque. Next year, Sara will be enrolling as a freshman at Boston College.

Joey Haddock (Avram) - A senior, Joey is currently in his fourth consecutive play with TheatreJM. Joey would especially like to thank his mother and father for their enormous patience, and for putting up with his lack of presence anywhere except the John Marshall stage.

Emily Dieter (Rosa) - Suprisingly enough, this is Emily's first appearance in a JM play. She is a graduating senior and plans of attending Liberty University in Virginia next fall. She hopes to major in music and Bible studies, and she thanks her loving parents for their support!

Alton Gresbrink (Big Tim Sullivan) - Al is thrilled to be a part of the cast for his first ever theater performance. He would love to continue in plays for Winona State next year. Special thanks to his parents, friends, and of course, his sister, whom he is, unlike in this play, not married to.
