Stage/Guthrie
Just saw the stage - it looks great! No more slivers, shanks, and squeaks! It's different, though - painted wood sections. We can paint them for the scenic design and repaint black after the show during strike. Much better than what we had all scuffed and splattered, and better than having an immaculate, shiny floor where every scrape looks horrific. If a section becomes trashed, we just replace it. Same flooring as Century HS, Ordway, and most professional stages. Curtains are also in, with new winches and a SCRIM:)
Meeting with Swe next Tuesday. It will be a great show; my first "legitimate" show at JM. Any involvement around the table, whether it ends on stage or not, will be a fantastic learning experience. Now accepting names for Assistant Directing. Stage Managing, and costuming.
Have fun on the Guthrie trip, let me know how it goes!

Hey Decker--
I don't know if there's some special way to do this, but I'd like to put my name in for consideration for Assistant Director. Is there some fancy way I have to do this?

Decker..whats your school schedule look like? Because i would really love to do my independent study this semester since you are doing the fall play. I saw the stage too! Looks interesting.. shows a lot of the dirt but thats okay..means we will just have to sweep alot! Hey.. would you be willing write me a recommendation for College? Because that would be amazing..
