Good Doctor Bios
In the program will be cast biographies of each cast member. A performance bio usually has the actor's name, character, training, past roles/performances, and special thanks. Could you please write about 30 words describing yourself, your role, your experience, your thanks to . . . and so on. Below are some examples as a guide. SAMPLES:
Sara Decker (Olive Madison): has been seen here in Lanesboro as Coyote and Sister Sunshine in the past two summers' melodramas, as well as in the Ole & Lena production. She lives the Drama & Comedy of Life at home with three kids and a Theater Director husband. Ongoing Ha and Wow.
Karrie Ellingson (Sylvie, producer): This is Karrie’s fourth appearance with the Lanesboro Community Theater and her second go at producing. When she is not pursuing her hidden talents, she is working extremely hard at her job of 20 years at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Elizabeth Shea (Klezmer, Thief, Chorus): is thrilled to be in her second play here at JM. Her most recent roles include Option Three in A Whole New You, Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, and Maria in The Sound of Music. She thanks her families for their continued support of her onstage career.
Arij Mikati (Chorus): A familiar face on the JM stage, Arij Mikati has made her most recent appearances as Francine in The Movie Game, Susie in Babes in Arms, and Essie in You Can't Take it With You. She is back again in her most impressive performance ever as a Sweatshop Worker and Chorus Member in the moving and controversial play, RAGS.
Robert Croghan (Hamlet, Chorus): After being in "You Can't Take It With You", "Babes in Arms", and "Once Upon A Mattress", Robert is making another debut and enjoying every minute of it. Robert would like to thank his parents for all the racket they had to put up with.

Laurie Cassman (co-director)is excited to be directing her fifth TheatreJM Production. Previous JM productions include You Can't Take It With You, Rehearsal for Murder, and most recently, Thoroughly Modern Mille. She has enjoyed sharing responsibilities with Mr. Decker and hopes to make our one show this year memorable.
Connor Meyers (General Brassilhov- MOPP) is a junior this year, as he plays in his fourth JM theatre production. He's played as an extra in two previous productions, as well as the elder of two chinese brothers in last year's musical: Thoroughly Modern Millie. He promises not to bore you. Just don't bore him first- he's a very busy man.
Matt Carlson (Anton Chekhov- The narrator) is a senior this year and is very excited for his Theatre JM debut. He worked on set design last year for Thoroughly Modern Millie. No matter what the critics say, he is better than Tolstoy.
Meg Kuhlman (Julia) is thrilled to return to JM Theatre once again. She's been in numerous productions at JM, including "The Lorax", "Oklahoma", "An Enemy of the People" and "Thoroughly Modern Millie". As a junior, she looks forward to do many more shows on the JM Stage. She's so thankful for everyone that has made this play possible, and she hopes that everyone enjoys the show!
Wyatt Sander (Kuryatin/Anthosha's father) is a junior this year and extends his gratitude to everyone that participated or helped with the show this year. He has participated in two JM shows, but has never done a play and thanks everyone for the experience...now stop twitching
Sarah Stevens (Woman), a junior, is excited to be performing in her fifth Theater JM production. She is excited to sing and act in this year's play and, as always, has enjoyed the Theater JM experience with her fellow cast members. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their continued support.
Ben Stevens (Man) is thrilled to be in his first JM production as a freshman. He was at first distraught at having to act in a romantic scene with his sister, but has grown to accept and even enjoy it. He would like to thank everyone who has worked hard to make this play great, and looks forward to future JM productions.

Thomas Daede (Husband) is a senior who has performed in the pit orchestra for two previous JM musicals, Oklahoma and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He is excited to be in the cast for the first time, and has the rest of the cast and crew to thank for making it a fun and rewarding experience.
Elizabeth Pankratz (Wife), a junior, is happy to be back on the stage. She had a blast in Oklahoma and Thoroughly Modern Millie and can't wait to share this performance with her friends and family. She hopes they enjoy the show and thanks them for all of their support.
Kevin Ewing (Set Designer/Builder) has had a great time working with students and staff in creating an environment that will bring Chekov's work to life. Recent production work has been 'Joseph' for the SE Honors Choir and 'Leaving Iowa' at the Hassler. He is currently designing/building Spring 2010 shows 'Oklahoma' and 'Coppelia'.
Dominique Jones is a new addition to the John Marshall stage, hailing from the small town of Wabasha where he was involved in numerous plays. He is also involved with chess club, speech team, and Northern Lights. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Sarah Krolak (Defenseless Creature): a senior, is very excited to be in her third production here at John Marshall. She has had a lot of fun being in shows such as Oklahoma and Thoroughly Modern Millie, and looks forward to seeing what her future will bring her at St. Olaf College in the fall. She would like to thank all of her cast mates and directors for the awesome times they have provided over the years, and her parents for their unending support in all she does. "I wouldn't be anywhere without my friends and family - you mean the world to me!"
Hannah Frost (Backstage Manager and Costumer) is a senior at JM who is super excited to be in her 7th show at John Marshall. She has been working and acting in the theatre for 9 years now, doing everything from set building, to running sound, to acting, singing, and dancing, and now backstage managing and costuming. She wishes everyone a great show....thanks for letting her go out with a BANG!
Christine Xiong (Wife "Irena" - The Seducer) This is her first time in a JM performance, and is very excited to be included in such a wonderful cast! Otherwise Christine has many experience with film movies, she has been in 5 Asian/Hmong films, her first main role was in "Desperate Love, Bitter Longing" (2009). She looks forward to more acting in the future. Christine would also like to thank her wonderful parents for supporting her dreams!
Rebecca Rose (Prostitute/Girl) is thrilled to be in this show and excited to be pushing her limits with this unique roll. (It's not everyday you get to play a prostitute!)She is a sophomore at John Marshall and was in Enemy of the People and Thoroughly Modern Millie last year and also was in Alice and Wonderland and The Masque Theatre. She is proud of this show and hopes everyone loves it!
Mariam Mohamed, a junior in high school. Excited to be the lead character. She has done many stage shows. Rythemnation dance, choir, and violen. This is actually her very first time to be apart of the drama club. we are thrilled to have her!!!!!!!!!
Larsen Orchard (Potchatkin) has been in several productions, but is excited to be doing his first here at JM. Larsen involved in a range of other things including orchestra, singing groups, track, school and piano. He is the oldest of the five kids in his family who he loves and enjoys to be with.
Keenan Berg is a senior at JM, is his last production with the high school. Keenan has played in Oklahoma! (Ike Skidmore), an Enemy of the People, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He would like to thank Mr. Decker, Ms. Cassman, the rest of the cast, and most importantly, his family for supporting him.
Sam May is the technical designer for the play. He is responsible for lighting up the lives of those on stage, and making sound effects. He got into technical theater last year, when he heard that the old lead was a senior, and thought it would be fun to crawl around above the auditorium. After his debut performance in Thoroughly Modern Milly, he became tech lead and has helped with most assemblies and concerts requiring lights and sound.
Kjirsten Savage (Girl in 'The Audition'): is very excited to be in her second production here at Theatre JM. Some of her past performances have been Alice in "Thoroughly Modern Millie", Gertie in "Oklahoma" (JA), Indian and Wolf in "Peter Pan", and several others. She lives a busy life and would like to give a special thanks to her family and Samantha Stephens for all the encouragement and chauffeuring around.

John Arachtingi (Army) is an excited freshman here at JM. He has been in two productions at JA, playing Andres Carnes in Oklahoma! and in The Sound of Music. He would like to thank his parents for all their help getting him to and from play practices.
Erin Barlow: is a junior this year at John marshall high school and is helping the theatre for her second year. Last year she helped with the make-up, lights, and sound for 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'. She is very pleased to be working with the JM theatre again and hopes that you all njoy everyones hard work.
