Yeah, so, my very good friend Mr. Decker, whom I've gotten to know a lot better lately, asked me to pass some messages on you. Here goes.
1. If you're in the chorus, wake up! I heard that yesterday everytime the chorus was supposed to be on stage that he would have to stop running, get everyone's attention, back-up, and do the entrances again. He says you should learn those entrances and stagger your arrivals and departures so it looks a little more natural.
2. He's also a little concerned about dropping two rehearsals, but still thinks it's recoverable, with some additional focus and work.
3. As always, he's planning that each cast member can spend two hours working on the set and/or recruit people to work on the set. Joel, the set designer, has great vision, but is limited by the numbers of people hours available to work on the set. On Friday, Natalie will distribute the set construction schedule. Check with her then check with your friends.
4. I'm going to take a pause now, and go introduce your director to my cousin, Nomora Snoedae. Ciao!
p.s. He also asked me to post this:
J.M. Barrie was playwright and author, most known for
Peter Pan.
Once, while directing a play he'd written, he was
approached by one of the actors playing a rather minor
character. Although the part was small the young actor,
anxious to give the part the right interpretation
begged for Barrie's advice.
"I'm glad you've asked me," said Barrie, "I should
like you to convey, when you are acting it, that the
man you are playing has a brother in Shropshire who
drinks port."
